Flatten Your Stomach the Right Way

    

Hi.  I'm Doug Setter and welcome to the Stomach Flattening website.

Most people are concerned about their midsections.  Whether they are new mothers, older desk workers or athletes, they want the strength and appearance of a toned waistline.  Not only is a trim midriff appealing to some people, it also supports the back muscles, reduces injury, aids digestion and increases stamina.  Let's face a gut that sags means energy is also going to sag. 

The usual answer seems to be more crunches and less calories.  

Well, that works for a few folk and is frustrating and tiring for others.  The methods that I found that work are from Pilates, power yoga, martial arts, free weights and body weight exercises.  The more body control that you have, the less need for gadgets.    Rather than push, push, push to "burn calories," I train my friends and clients to align their body first, release their brakes and rev up or sometimes slow down their metabolisms.   Oh yeah, we burn fat like a nuclear oven when we get going.   Along the way we also have some fun learning postures, how to roll, punch, kick, stretch and move.
